General
Why did you leave your most recent position?

i was working for 13 years as a LINE PRODUCER in the film industry. It was actually my desire to be working on the boats since i was a little boy.  By accident i ended up in film industry. But boats stayed as my desire forever. Almost two years ago i got offer from production office in Los Angeles and i applied for O1 visa. Unfortunately my application has been denied and i promised my self if that would happened i am going to join the yacht industry. And it happened. Here i am....

What kind of hobbies do you have, or what do you like to do in your free time?

In my days off i am all the time around the boats. I do have my own 45ft cruiser in Prague.

My second hobby is skiing and free ride skiing and  diving.

Is the yachting industry a career for you, or more of a sabbatical?

it is definitely a career to me. As i already been successful in film industry i am not afraid to start a new career. I believe i can apply a lot of my experiences in to it and can bring with me something  that anybody else can offer.

Describe what type of situation on board you feel you would fit in best?

i would like to try to get the position as a butler on mega yachts. I have a tons of experience to take care of the most  fastidious clients you can possibly imagine....

i can easily take care of logistics, budgets, paper work and etc

DeckHand
What do you feel is the primary responsibility of the Deckhand, aside from the exterior maintenance of the vessel?

keep everyone save and be ready to help on any other department if needed without asking to do so...

What do you feel is the most important quality for a successful Deckhand to have?

open mind, responsible, fast and precise

Mate
How much responsibility should the Mate take on, to provide for a smooth Captain - Mate relationship?

i believe that the mate should be a partner to captain and not just employe at the first place..... He have to provide so much effort and confidence at his position to assure captain that he picked the right person

How would you handle a scenario where two crew members are becoming a couple, on a boat where couples are not allowed?

.... i would talk to them and make sure if what i see is happening and if is it true. If yes i would probably choose one of them to stay and offer to the other to leave without any hard feelings. It is of course subject to be discussed who is more important for us to stay and who should be offered to leave. and of course it would be reported to the captain and ask him if i should deal with this situation by my self or if the captain want to be involved

What can you do to ensure that your Deckhands are kept busy and challenged by their job?

Logistic and precise plan of work it needs to be done. Make sure everybody always  knows what to do and what the whole team is doing. To Give them a space to prove they are the right guys to be kept on board.....
