Why did you leave your most recent position? To further my career on superyachts
What kind of hobbies do you have, or what do you like to do in your free time?  Diving, Fitness, studying, dining out.
Is the yachting industry a career for you, or more of a sabbatical?  A career, I have been on the water full time since i was 14 years old and plan to keep on going for a very long time.
Describe what type of situation on board you feel you would fit in best? Leadership. But also a good team player that likes to help his fellow crew members.
Captain
How much freedom do you feel an Owner should allow his Captain in terms of hiring crew? A captain knows what kind of crew member would suit his vessel, so all hiring should be managed by the captain. Unless the owner has a specific type of crew in mind, then hiring should be achieved together.
What do you do when you disagree with the Owner? Think of a solution to agree on, talk it out, but at the end of the day the owner has the last say( its his yacht).
How do you handle conflicts between crew members? Talk it out, try and find a solution.
How much down time do you feel a yacht needs each year, to ensure a safe and happy crew? 4-6 weeks is all that is needed.
How much time is the maximum time that should pass between emergency procedure drills on board? 1 month.
What do you feel is the most important quality for a successful Captain to have? Be professional.
Mate
How much responsibility should the Mate take on, to provide for a smooth Captain - Mate relationship? up to 50% i think is resonable.
How would you handle a scenario where two crew members are becoming a couple, on a boat where couples are not allowed? Have a talk with them and suggest that they mite need to look for a couples posistion on another vessel to keep it fair for the other crew and the rules.
What can you do to ensure that your Deckhands are kept busy and challenged by their job? Make a list of work to be done daily,weekly and monthly. And the good workers are rewarded.
