Who started Crew Unlimited?
|
|
In 1986, Captain Eddie Seesholts purchased Crew Unlimited, and made it his retirement fund.
Unfortunately, at age 69 in 1993, Captain Eddie fell ill while on holiday with his wife in New
Orleans. Having none of his own children interested in the yachting industry, he asked Ami
Williams to take over the business. Crew Unlimited had less than 900 crew members registered at
the time, increasing to more than 8500 today!

What does Crew Unlimited do?

Crew Unlimited is a professional yacht crew placement agency. We provide Captains,
Engineers, Mates, Chefs, Cooks, Stewards, Stewardesses, and Deck Hands, to the owners and
Captains of power and sail, private and charter, luxury yachts, all over the world.

Our
Main Office is in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, “The Yachting Capital of the World.” Since 1994, our
Summer Office has been open from June through September in Newport, Rhode Island. In 1999,
we opened a Seasonal Office in conjunction with 37South in Auckland, New Zealand, for the
America’s Cup. Now in 2002, our Virtual Office on the Web is launched, to enable 24/7
Registration for crew, and 24/7 Job Search functionality, allowing constant exposure for the
position you are trying to fill, while ensuring 100% confidentiality. Crew members can view the
job description on-line and let us know instantly if they are interested in being considered. Our
Placement Coordinators consider their resume and portfolio, and submit to you the ones that
