All
submissions in the 2008 Fort Yachtie-Da Film Festival must be submitted
by Captains and Crew who are registered with Crew Unlimited. (Entrants
do not have to be actively seeking employment to participate.)
Submissions
in the Fort Yachtie-Da Film Festival:

Must be original and unpublished

Must be a maximum of five (5) minutes in length
-
Each contestant may submit a maximum of three (3) videos per category

Videos must be submitted online via www.crewunlimited.com by midnight
EST, 3rd November 2008

Entries will not be acknowledged or returned
-
Entries which are not submitted on suitably formatted media and
which are not viewable as a result, by the submission cut-off Date, will
not be accepted
(All entries received after the deadline will NOT be considered for the
festival but will become the property of the Fort Yachtie-Da Film Festival)
Voting
in the Fort Yachtie-Da Film Festival:

Online voting begins at 9am EST on 20th October 2008. Online voting
ends 11pm EST, 5th November 2008 to allow editing and final film production
- Each registered voter may select only one winner per category,
and may vote only once
- Ties in any category will be broken by a majority vote by the
sponsors of the festival
Responsibility
of Entrants/ Warranties of Participation:
• All entrants must warrant that their submissions are original
productions, and do not infringe on existing copyrighted material; nor
may submissions purposely or accidentally utilize or exploit existing
copyrighted, registered or trademarked property either real or intellectual.
• All submissions MUST NOT infringe on any third party rights; and
if applicable the entrant shall obtain permission from anyone who helped
direct or produce the film, including a representation from the person(s)
that their contribution to the film does not violate third party rights.
Any submission deemed unsuitable as a result of a failure by any entrant
to comply with this rule may be deemed inadmissible for the sake of this
contest.
• Entrants agree that any decision made with regards to any submission
is final.
Fort
Yachtie-Da Film Festival Held Harmless:
Please note that anyone directly identified or utilized in the making
of each film must be at least 18 years of age. Participants or subjects
under the age of 18 must have the written consent of a parent or legal
guardian.
Entrants
agree to hold harmless, defend and/or indemnify any officers, agents,
employees, volunteers, sponsors, participants, facilities – or any
other agent – from any Damages as a result of participation in the
Festival; or any other loss or Damage whatsoever caused by the entrant
or the entrant’s activities in connection with participation in
the Fort Yachtie-Da Film Festival.
The Fort
Yachtie-Da Film Festival does NOT encourage or endorse commission of crimes
or illegal or Dangerous acts or endeavours by entrants in the festival.
The festival also does not endorse or encourage the production of videos
that may be intentionally, inherently or accidentally Damaging (in any
form) to any person regardless of their affiliation to the festival. Any
submission deemed to be inappropriate by content or construct will be
eliminated from consideration.
Sponsors
Rights and Responsibilities:
Sponsors shall have the right to edit and publish all entries as they
deem suitable, and may publish and republish in whole or in part in all
media now known or hereafter devised in perpetuity without compensation.
The
Fort Yachtie-Da Film Festival assumes ownership of all submissions uploaded.
Submission of any file further constitutes the entrant's consent or in
the case of a minor, the parent's or legal guardian's consent, to irrevocably
assign and transfer to festival sponsors any and all rights, title, and
interests in Entry, including, without limitation, all copyrights, and
to use entrants' names, hometowns, and likenesses and biographies without
further compensation, for advertising or publicity purposes (except where
prohibited by law).
By
uploading any file to the contest participation page, it is understood
that entrant agrees to abide all terms of the Fort Yachtie-Da Film Festival.
